SIA Manned Guarding
Held at our state of the art training facility in Gloucester the SIA Security Guarding course is an exciting course to be part of. This qualification leads to the ability to apply for the Security Guarding licence.
SIA training for Security Guarding licence specifically covers security roles in office blocks, residential blocks, construction sites, court security, gatehouse security etc. A security guard with SIA licence can work anywhere as a security officer apart from stadium, pubs and night clubs. Security guarding training does not cover Night Clubs and Pub security.
Level 2 Award in Security Guarding – Consists of two modules
Module 1: Knowledge based training and assessment (22.5 hours).
This section of the course covers the following topics:
- Role and responsibilities of security officers
- Customer care and social skills
- Fire safety
- Health and safety
- Dealing with incidents and emergencies
- The Law (civil and criminal)
- Procedures for the control of keys and equipment
- Assignment instructions
- Reporting
Module 2: Practical scenario based training and assessment (7.5 hours).
This section of the course covers the following topics:
- Communication skills
- Conflict management
